The "It's Electric Neon Sign Park" is nestled in the industrial downtown area of Granite City, IL. This new unsuspecting destination along Route 66, rebirths the glow of area business and ignites the memories of locals.
Ace Sign Co. worked with the
City of Granite City and the
Great Rivers & Routes tourism bureau on the conceptual design of the park, including the fabrication and installation of three full size neon sign replicas, a vintage billboard structure, and three interpretive plaques.
The project was funded by grant funds through
Enjoy Illinois, as preparations continue for the 100th anniversary of the Mother Road in 2026.
